Oklahoma City · Jason Hawkins
A hawk doesn't just watch. It sees what others miss, moves with precision, and never stops watching over what matters. That's how I approach OKC.
The Hawk Attributes
These aren't just words on a page. They're how a hawk hunts, guards, and survives — and they're the lens through which I do everything I do in Oklahoma City.
A hawk sees eight times farther than a human. It spots the field mouse from five hundred feet up. I've always been wired to see OKC, soccer, and AI before they were obvious — and to act on what I saw.
AI · Future thinking · OKC Growth
Hawks don't miss. Every move is deliberate, every dive calculated. Whether building a front office, coaching a youth side, or deploying AI tools — I believe in doing the right thing the right way.
Soccer · Strategy · Mentorship
Hawks protect their territory and their young with absolute commitment. OKC is my territory. Its youth, its community, its future — I watch over these things because that's what you do when a place is yours.
Youth · Community · Philanthropy
A hawk's power comes from altitude. The higher the vantage, the clearer the picture. I believe in lifting people, lifting ideas, and lifting Oklahoma City — because elevation is how you see what's next.

The Story
"I thought I was coaching them.Read the full story
They were teaching me.
Every single time."
Born and raised in Oklahoma City. Soccer GM before this city was on the national map. I was in the room for a lot of things that only looked inevitable in hindsight.
I've coached youth sides and watched kids who were written off go undefeated. I've sat with families of special needs children and understood for the first time what the game is really for. I've watched OKC grow from a city people flew over into a city people fly to.
Now I'm doing the same thing with AI that I did with OKC — seeing it early, betting on it before it's obvious, and trying to lift as many people into it as possible.
The Arenas
Soccer. AI. OKC. Youth. Community. Philanthropy. These aren't separate things — they're where Vision, Precision, Guardianship, and Elevation get to work every day.
I was a kid at the 1984 Olympics when a stranger from Germany, arm around my shoulder, showed me what it looks like to love this game with your whole chest. That passion never left. Twenty years later I was coaching it, building a pro team from nothing as a GM, believing in this city before many believed in it. Now the World Cup is here, a new stadium is coming to OKC, and the Olympics are coming back. Full circle doesn't begin to cover it.
Vision · Precision
This city doesn't wait to be told it matters. It rebuilds after the worst day imaginable and calls it the Oklahoma Standard. It taxes itself to build what it needs — arenas, schools, a skyline — because waiting on someone else was never the plan. I've watched OKC bet on itself again and again, and I've spent my life betting right alongside it.
Guardianship · Elevation
Mentorship has run in both directions my whole life. With PAL and Ross Rockets, I showed up for kids who needed someone in their corner more than they needed someone to win. On my own side, the mentors in my life changed shape as I did — first just a student soaking it in, then relationships with real give and take, and now I don't look for mentors so much as I find people I connect with and pour into each other.
Guardianship · Precision
I've learned that when you give to others, you get back more than you ever put in. No community has taught me that better than the kids and families I met through adaptive sports. This one gave me my best friend, and loyalty I never expected to find. The Energy Sidekicks showed me what it takes — not just for the athlete, but for the whole family behind them. Special Olympics proved that every athlete deserves the chance to compete like a champion, because they are one.
Guardianship · Elevation
I'm an idea guy. I spend my time painting pictures of what's possible — for OKC, for sport, for whatever's next — so other people can see it before it's obvious. This is where those ideas live. Short, sharp, honest takes, not always right, but hopefully always thought provoking.
Vision · Precision
I saw this kind of shift once before, when the internet changed how we live, work, and think about what's possible. I'm seeing it again now. AI isn't a side interest — it's a force multiplier for everything else on this page, making it move faster and reach further.
Vision · Elevation
Oklahoma City
OKC is no longer a city people fly over. It's a city people fly to. New stadium. The Olympics. The Thunder. SkyDance lit up at night. We built this. And we're not close to finished.
Think
Short, honest takes. On OKC. On AI. On sport. On what it means to see things early and guard them carefully.
Coming soon
A stranger handed me something in a parking lot in South OKC that changed the direction of my life. I've been thinking about what that means for how we mentor the next generation.
VisionComing soon
Every city has cheerleaders. Ours doesn't need more. What it needs are people with elevation — those who can see what the rest of the country is only just beginning to notice.
ElevationComing soon
The cities that will win the next decade are the ones building the playbook now. Not reacting. Not waiting. Precision — knowing exactly where to move before the moment arrives.
PrecisionComing soon
Thirty kids. No cuts. Undefeated season. I thought I was doing them a favor. I had it exactly backwards. On what guardianship actually means in youth sport.
GuardianshipConnect
If you're building something in this city, thinking about AI, working with youth, or just want to talk shop — I'm genuinely interested. The hawk doesn't just watch. It shows up.
